1 Overview & Our Commitment

Best Fitness App ("we", "us", "our") is a personal fitness tracking application developed by EliteSpace. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our app, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

We collect only what is needed to deliver a personalised fitness experience.

3 How We Use Your Information

• Personalise your workouts — BMI, fitness level, goal, and gym split are used to calculate exercise duration, intensity, and prescriptions entirely on your device.
• Track your progress — Workout records, body measurements, and water entries are stored locally to display charts and statistics.
• Maintain streaks and achievements — Check-in dates are used to calculate your daily streak and unlock achievement badges.
• Send reminders — If you enable daily or water reminders, your chosen times are stored locally and used to schedule on-device notifications.
• Photo coaching notes — When you select a photo focus area, the app generates coaching notes on-device based on your profile. Photos are referenced by a local URI only and are never uploaded.
• Display advertising — AdMob uses your Advertising ID to serve relevant ads. See Section 6 for full details.

4 Data Storage & Security

All personal fitness data is stored exclusively on your device using:

• Android — Room (SQLite) database and Jetpack DataStore, both in the app's private storage directory which is not accessible to other apps without root access.
• iOS — SwiftData (SQLite) and UserDefaults, stored in the app's sandboxed container.

When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted by the operating system. We do not maintain backups of your data on external servers.

6 Advertising & Advertising ID

Best Fitness App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure these ads, AdMob may collect and use:

• Your Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA / SKAdNetwork data (iOS)
• General device information (OS version, screen size, language)
• Approximate geographic region (country/city level)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

Opt out of personalised ads

You can limit ad personalisation at any time through your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Opting out means you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised based on your interests.

7 Health Data

Health data integration is entirely optional and must be explicitly enabled by you.

Android — Health Connect

If you enable the "Sync with Health Connect" toggle in the Profile screen, the app will:

• Request permission to read your step count from Health Connect.
• Request permission to write completed exercise sessions to Health Connect.

Health data read from or written to Health Connect is processed only on your device and is governed by Google's Health Connect privacy policy. We do not transmit health data to any server.

iOS — HealthKit

If you enable Health sync in the Profile screen, the app will:

• Request permission to read today's step count from Apple Health.
• Write completed workout sessions (duration and calories) to Apple Health.

HealthKit data never leaves your device through our app. Permissions can be revoked at any time via Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

8 Photos & Camera

The AI Photo Coach feature allows you to select a photo from your device gallery to receive on-device coaching notes. When you use this feature:

• A local URI reference to the selected photo is stored on your device.
• The photo is never uploaded to any server.
• Coaching notes are generated on-device based solely on your chosen focus area and profile settings — no image analysis or AI model is invoked remotely.
• On Android, we request the READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission only when you tap "Add Photo".
• On iOS, we request NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription permission only when you tap "Add Photo".

Photo permissions can be revoked in your device Settings at any time.

9 Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications for:

• Daily workout reminders — at a time you choose in the Profile screen.
• Water reminders — at an interval and within a window you choose.

All notifications are scheduled locally on your device using the OS notification system. No notification data is processed on external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

10 Children's Privacy

Best Fitness App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app allows an age input as low as 13 during onboarding. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will assist with data deletion.

Advertising served by AdMob complies with Google's policies for child-directed content. If the detected user age is under 16, AdMob is configured to serve non-personalised ads only.

11 Your Rights & Choices

Because all personal data is stored on your device, you have full control:

Access & portability

All your data is accessible directly within the app (Stats, Profile, and Progress screens).

Correction

You can edit your profile information at any time in the Profile screen.

Deletion

You can delete individual records (workout history, body measurements) within the app. To delete all data, uninstall the app — this permanently removes all locally stored data.

Withdrawing consent for optional features

• Health Connect / HealthKit: toggle off in Profile → Health Connect, or revoke in OS Settings.
• Notifications: toggle off in Profile → Reminders, or revoke in OS Settings.
• Photo access: revoke in OS Settings → Privacy.
• Personalised ads: use OS-level Advertising ID opt-out (see Section 6).

GDPR / regional rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your data. Since we hold no data on our servers, most requests can be fulfilled by you directly within the app or by uninstalling. For any other requests, contact us at the address in Section 13.

12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, notify you through the app or via a notice on the relevant app store listing.

Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
